ונסיבו עמא דארעא ית יהואחז בר יאשיהו ואמליכו יתיה תחות אבוהי בירושלם:
byrwshlm abwhy thkhwth ythyh wamlykw yashyhw br yhwakhz yth darea ema wnsybw
Then the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and made him king in his father’s place in Jerusalem.

בר עשרין ותלת שנין יואחז כד מלך ותלתא ירחין מלך בירושלם:
byrwshlm mlk yrkhyn wthltha mlk kd ywakhz shnyn wthlth eshryn br
Joahaz was twenty-three years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months in Jerusalem.

ואעדי יתיה מלכא דמצרים מלממלך בירושלם וגבא מן יתבי ארעא דישראל מאה קנטנרין דסימא וקנטינר דדהב:
ddhb wqnTynr dsyma qnTnryn mah dyshral area ythby mn wgba byrwshlm mlmmlk dmtsrym mlka ythyh waedy
The king of Egypt removed him from office at Jerusalem, and fined the land one hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold.

ואמליך מלכא דמצרים ית אליקים אחוהי על יהודה וירושלם ואחזר ית שמיה יהויקים וית יהואחז אחוהי דבר חגירא ואיתי יתיה למצרים:
lmtsrym ythyh waythy khgyra dbr akhwhy yhwakhz wyth yhwyqym shmyh yth wakhzr wyrwshlm yhwdh el akhwhy alyqym yth dmtsrym mlka wamlyk
The king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and changed his name to Jehoiakim. Neco took Joahaz his brother, and carried him to Egypt.

בר עשרין וחמש שנין יהויקים כד מלך וחד סרי שנין מלך בירושלם ועבד דביש קדם יי אלהיה:
alhyh yy qdm dbysh webd byrwshlm mlk shnyn sry wkhd mlk kd yhwyqym shnyn wkhmsh eshryn br
Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. He did that which was evil in Yahweh his God’s sight.

עלוהי סליק נבוכדנאצר מלכא דבבל ואסרוהי בכירומנקיהו בשושלון דנחשא לאובלא יתיה לבבל:
lbbl ythyh lawbla dnkhsha bshwshlwn bkyrwmnqyhw wasrwhy dbbl mlka nbwkdnatsr slyq elwhy
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against him, and bound him in fetters to carry him to Babylon.

ומן מאני בית מקדשא דיי איתי נבוכדנאצר לבבל ויהבינון בפלטיריה בבבל:
bbbl bplTyryh wyhbynwn lbbl nbwkdnatsr aythy dyy mqdsha byth many wmn
Nebuchadnezzar also carried some of the vessels of Yahweh’s house to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon.

ושאר פתגמי יהויקים וריחוקיה ומה די עבד וסורחנא דאשתכח עלוהי הא אנון כתיבין על ספר מלכיא דבית ישראל ודבית יהודה ומליך יהויכין בריה תחותוהי:
thkhwthwhy bryh yhwykyn wmlyk yhwdh wdbyth yshral dbyth mlkya spr el kthybyn anwn ha elwhy dashthkkh wswrkhna ebd dy wmh wrykhwqyh yhwyqym pthgmy wshar
Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and his abominations which he did, and that which was found in him, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah; and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his place.

בר תמני שנין יהויכין כד מלך ותלתא ירחין ועשרתי יומין מלך בירושלם ועבד דביש קדם יי:
yy qdm dbysh webd byrwshlm mlk ywmyn weshrthy yrkhyn wthltha mlk kd yhwykyn shnyn thmny br
Jehoiachin was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem. He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight.

ולסוף דשתא שדר מלכא נבוכדנצר ואיתיה לבבל עם כלי רגגת בית מקדשא דיי ואמלך ית צדקיהו אחוהי על דבית יהודה וירושלם:
wyrwshlm yhwdh dbyth el akhwhy tsdqyhw yth wamlk dyy mqdsha byth rggth kly em lbbl waythyh nbwkdntsr mlka shdr dshtha wlswp
At the return of the year, King Nebuchadnezzar sent and brought him to Babylon, with the valuable vessels of Yahweh’s house, and made Zedekiah his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem.

בר עשרין וחדא שתא צדקיהו כד מלך וחד סרי שנין מלך בירושלם:
byrwshlm mlk shnyn sry wkhd mlk kd tsdqyhw shtha wkhda eshryn br
Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem.

ועבד דביש קדם יי אלהיה ולא אתכנע מן קדם ירמיהו נביא דאתנבי ליה מן פום מימרא דיי:
dyy mymra pwm mn lyh dathnby nbya yrmyhw qdm mn athkne wla alhyh yy qdm dbysh webd
He did that which was evil in Yahweh his God’s sight. He didn’t humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from Yahweh’s mouth.

ואוף במלכא נבוכדנאצר מרד דאימי יתיה במימרא דיי ואקשי ית קדליה ותקיף ית יצרא דלביה מן בגלל דלא למתוב לדחלתא דיי אלהא דישראל:
dyshral alha dyy ldkhltha lmthwb dla bgll mn dlbyh ytsra yth wthqyp qdlyh yth waqshy dyy bmymra ythyh daymy mrd nbwkdnatsr bmlka wawp
He also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God; but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart against turning to Yahweh, the God of Israel.

ולחוד כל רברבי כהניא ועמא אסגיעו לשקרא שקר הי ככל תועבתא ריחוק עממיא וסאיבו ית בית מקדשא דיי דאקדיש בירושלם:
byrwshlm daqdysh dyy mqdsha byth yth wsaybw emmya rykhwq thwebtha kkl hy shqr lshqra asgyew wema khnya rbrby kl wlkhwd
Moreover all the chiefs of the priests and the people trespassed very greatly after all the abominations of the nations; and they polluted Yahweh’s house which he had made holy in Jerusalem.

ושדר יי אלהא דאבהתהון עליהון דיתובון ביד אזגדוהי אקדים ושלחא מטול דחיס על עמיה ועל מדור בית שכינת קודשיה:
qwdshyh shkynth byth mdwr wel emyh el dkhys mTwl wshlkha aqdym azgdwhy byd dythwbwn elyhwn dabhthhwn alha yy wshdr
Yahweh, the God of their fathers, sent to them by his messengers, rising up early and sending, because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place;

והוו מגחכין באזגדיא דיי ומבסרין בפתגמוהי ומתלעיבין בנביאוהי עד די סליקת רוגזא דיי בעמיה עד דלית אסו:
asw dlyth ed bemyh dyy rwgza slyqth dy ed bnbyawhy wmthleybyn bpthgmwhy wmbsryn dyy bazgdya mgkhkyn whww
but they mocked the messengers of God, despised his words, and scoffed at his prophets, until Yahweh’s wrath arose against his people, until there was no remedy.

ואסיק עליהון ית מלכא דכשדאי וקטל ית עולימהון בחרבא בבית מקדשיהון ולא חס על עולם ובתולתא וסבא וארכונא כלא מסר בידיה:
bydyh msr kla warkwna wsba wbthwltha ewlm el khs wla mqdshyhwn bbyth bkhrba ewlymhwn yth wqTl dkshday mlka yth elyhwn wasyq
Therefore he brought on them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion on young man or virgin, old man or infirm. He gave them all into his hand.

ואוף מאני בית מקדשא דיי מסר בידי רברביא וזעיריא ותסברי בית מקדשא דיי ותסברי מלכא ורברבנוהי כלא איתי לבבל:
lbbl aythy kla wrbrbnwhy mlka wthsbry dyy mqdsha byth wthsbry wzeyrya rbrbya bydy msr dyy mqdsha byth many wawp
All the vessels of God’s house, great and small, and the treasures of Yahweh’s house, and the treasures of the king and of his princes, all these he brought to Babylon.

ואוקידו ית בית מקדשא דיי ותרעו ית שורא דירושלם וית כל פלטירהא אוקידו בנורא וכל מאני רגונהא לחבלא:
lkhbla rgwnha many wkl bnwra awqydw plTyrha kl wyth dyrwshlm shwra yth wthrew dyy mqdsha byth yth wawqydw
They burned God’s house, broke down the wall of Jerusalem, burned all its palaces with fire, and destroyed all of its valuable vessels.

ואגלי שארא דאשתירת מן קטלא דחרבא לבבל והוו ליה ולבנוהי לעבדין עד זמן דמליך מלכותא דפרס:
dprs mlkwtha dmlyk zmn ed lebdyn wlbnwhy lyh whww lbbl dkhrba qTla mn dashthyrth shara wagly
He carried those who had escaped from the sword away to Babylon, and they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia,

לאשלמא פתגם נבואה מן קדם יי מפום ירמיהו עד זמן דאתרעיאת ארעא שמיטתא הא כל יומא דאיצדיאת ארעא דישראל שמיטת שבעין שנין:
shnyn shbeyn shmyTth dyshral area daytsdyath ywma kl ha shmyTtha area dathreyath zmn ed yrmyhw mpwm yy qdm mn nbwah pthgm lashlma
to fulfill Yahweh’s word by Jeremiah’s mouth, until the land had enjoyed its Sabbaths. As long as it lay desolate, it kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.

ובשתא חדא לכורש מלכא דפרס כד שלים פתגם נבואה דיי מפומא דירמיה אתיהו רוח גבורתא דיי בכורש מלכא דפרס ואעבר כרוזא בכל מלכותיה ואוף באגרתא שדר למימר:
lmymr shdr bagrtha wawp mlkwthyh bkl krwza waebr dprs mlka bkwrsh dyy gbwrtha rwkh athyhw dyrmyh mpwma dyy nbwah pthgm shlym kd dprs mlka lkwrsh khda wbshtha
Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that Yahweh’s word by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, Yahweh stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,

כדנן אמר כורש מלכא דפרס כל מלכותא דארעא מסר לי מימרא דיי אלהא דשמיא והוא פקיד עלי למבני ליה בית מקדשא בירושלם די בשבט יהודה מאן בכון דאית ביניה מכל עמיה יהא מימרא דיי בסעדיה ויסק:
wysq bsedyh dyy mymra yha emyh mkl bynyh dayth bkwn man yhwdh bshbT dy byrwshlm mqdsha byth lyh lmbny ely pqyd whwa dshmya alha dyy mymra ly msr darea mlkwtha kl dprs mlka kwrsh amr kdnn
“Cyrus king of Persia says, ‘Yahweh, the God of heaven, has given all the kingdoms of the earth to me; and he has commanded me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whoever there is among you of all his people, Yahweh his God be with him, and let him go up.’”
